Allen Ticehurst is the result of a merger between Allen Ticehurst & Bird and Cree & Blake in June 1998 and C. M. Lewis in January 2000 and is now the largest firm of solicitors in East Grinstead currently employing around 30 people.
The company places a strong emphasis on delivering the best value to its clients and applies this ethos to its internal services. At the heart of the company's trading lies their electronic system.
Professional Computer Group Limited’s last project with this customer was to replace the ageing Novel 5 Small Business server with Microsoft’s Small Business Server 2003. A complete replacement of workstations complemented this whole project. GroupWise email and file data was successfully exported and re-introduced to the new hardware.
This work was carried out entirely over one weekend to cause least disruption upon the practice. The users left Friday, closing down their old pc and started anew on the Monday with a brand new and exciting IT solution. Overcoming post-delivery hitches was just one aspect of PCGL’s flexibility which Allen Ticehurst appreciated during the roll-out. The whole can-do approach meant that even problematic unsupported programs and data were successfully ported to the new system.
