In 1972 the company was established as South Coast Business Machines offering technology such as programmable calculators and invoicing machines. Today the solution is more likely to consist of the latest networked computers from the likes of IBM or Compaq.

The company has always maintained the philosophy of providing the best products at good prices backed by exceptional after-sales service. The company employs three times as many support staff as it does sales staff so that this can be achieved.

A privately owned company, PCGL is still managed by the husband and wife team who established it, Richard and Ann Pottinger.

PCGL's range of activities is reflected in the number of accreditations from the industry's leading systems and software companies: we are an authorised reseller of IBM (1984) and Compaq (1985), an authorised Lotus Training Centre (1990), a reseller of Pegasus (1981), WordPerfect (1985) and Novell (1985) software and a CSM Accountants centre (1986) and an IBM Legal Service Centre (1991). Since 1991 PCGL has built up a dedicated legal division which continually strives to supply and support the legal profession with the best hardware and software products available. In early 1998, PCGL were selected by Mountain Legal Software as the sole supplier of their products in the South and South West.

PCGL specialise in the supply and support of business accounts systems in the UK and count many legal practices among our customers along with a cross-section of manufacturing, distribution, retail and service organisations.

To meet our customers' requirements, PCGL provide a range of specialist services including seminars and consultancy, bespoke applications development, network cabling, installation, training and maintenance.

As technology continues to evolve, the challenge for PCGL remains the same: to take the best components available, and implement them in systems that assist the way companies do business and to improve their profitability.
