First developed in 1978, the Accounts & Time Recording System, written in Microsoft Visual Studio Suite, is in operation in over 500 Solicitors offices nationwide. Fitting seamlessly within the Mountain Software Practice Management System, access to the accounts areas are password protected and user definable. There are two versions available, either firm wide Profit & Loss or Departmental/Branch Profit & Loss. The system can handle unlimited numbers of departments and branches in either mode. Full Audit trail and financial transaction reports are available and the system has been audited by numerous firms of accountants. Included within the package, is a range of standard reports which offer user definable criteria. In addition to these standard reports is the Report Generator. This powerful, user friendly tool provides the user the option to produce reports to the users own specification, including drawing information from anywhere in the accounts system. Output can be in variable report formats or merged with Word documents or output into Microsoft Excel. Easy to use posting screens, with a common look and feel, allow the user to get up to speed quickly in the use of the system and the generation of management reports. Bank transfer, bank reconciliation (outstanding cheques selected by a simple point and click operation) reporting - all are available from the posting screens so there is no longer a need to jump in and out of complex programs. Electronic posting Chittys may be raised by fee earners and then posted to the ledgers only by the cashier - no need to decipher writing, no need for double entry, no lost posting slips. Double entry is automatic leading to many powerful reports including VAT, Budget, P&L and Balance Sheet, Fee Earner performance, etc. Seamless integration with other modules in the system provides for full credit control with automatic generation of chasing letters when required.
