The Mountain Software Probate Case Management module has been developed specifically to meet the requirements of a Fee Earner working in this highly structured field. The module includes links into the central system diary, and Mountain Software Time Recording & Accounts system at ledger and timecard level, Microsoft Word for document and "Estate Accounts" production and PRINTAForm for the generation of the IHT 200 and other tax forms. The Probate Case Management system allows the user to easily set up a full profile of each Probate matter. Tabbed screens allow the fee earner to quickly navigate the system entering details of the matter, personal representatives assets, beneficiaries (and show allocations against the estate), liabilities, IHT 200 and other tax form details and a section for notes information. Once the details have been entered, the user can generate user definable "Estate Accounts" and even have the system automatically produce the IHT 200 based on the information on the database. The system stores asset values at either estimated or actual levels and handles income both pre and post death. As these asset values changes (eg. if something does not achieve its valuation when realised) then all beneficiary figures are instantly re-calculated. This provides an instant snapshot of where each beneficiary sits at any one point in time.
